After a meal, the gripping pain closed in on my entire torso without warning. I'd have to lie down because of the sudden onslaught of pain. Someone would have to rub my back because I thought the pain came from back strain. I popped anti-acids and tried to induce vomiting, thinking the stomach pain was just stomach upset. When I visited my licensed Reflexologist, she said that my Gallbladder was too tender, and that I could have gallstones. Of course, I pumped myself up into the graphic state of hyper-ventilation, because I had heard that to get ride of those pellets, I'd have to submit to the Knife. But she said that instead of going nuclear, I'd do better to follow a regiment for 2 or 3 days. I sagged on her couch for five minutes of limp relief. By the time I got home, I was in total control and started the regiment she recommended. Here it is: Basically, it's a fast. For two days, take 4 oz. of unsweetened pineapple juice every two hours and a cup of Cascara tea (1 teaspoon in 6 oz. of boiled water) every 4 hours. (Example: 8:00--Take juice and tea. 10:00--Take juice. 12:00p.m.--Take juice and tea, and so on.) At the end of the second day, one half hour after drinking your tea, mix well and drink 4 oz. of olive oil and 4 oz. of grapefruit juice or lemon juice. Upon retiring, lie on your right side with hips elevated by 2 pillows. The next day, you will pass the gallstones. (They look like large peas in your feces.) Although this is all it took to cure me, Jethro Kloss has more on treating this condition in his book BACK TO EDEN, including fomentations, foot baths, herbs, massage, and diet. So before submitting to the Knife, try going to basics first. It's less expensive and there's less trauma. |
