Rated PG13. For the scene where the drugs are cut out of the dead mule's body. You don't see it, but your imagination works wonders.

Where can a review start when Lindsey Wagner is the star?

Well, how about starting with the fact that she was the highest paid TV actress in the mid to late 70's when she played The Bionic Woman, and became a hero role model!?

Ms. Wagner continues her class act in this vehicle with a magic that appeals to the male as well as female audience. She plays Dr. Hanna Cole from Health Services, whose responsibility it is to stop a cholera epidemic. Because of Ms. Wagner's specialty of appearing to speak in 'ad lib', we watch this doctor reach and teeter over the edge, and continue her work, despite the conflicts that come at her from every direction. Her past, her recent marriage, her 2 step children, her rookie partner, the press, her boss, and the fact that she knows that her husband (played in a laid back style by Tom Wompat) has the disease, but is unable to find him.

Elizabeth Pena's perpetual cynicism makes her the perfect choice to play detective Lou Rojas. Dr. Cole finds out that a load of drugs carried into the country by a mule is contaminated and asks Rojas for help. It is Rojas' job to keep that load from hitting the streets.

This is a movie about 2 women bucking the odds to do something they are passionate about. And they do it without the tedious, contrite tack-ons of nudity, sex, and gratuitious violence. It also reminds us that the United States is not necessarily immune to 'disease outbreak'.

Ms. Wagner, welcome back!! It's been far too long since we've seen you in action!!
