From Pamela's Desk

Thank you for accepting my hospitality. New this week is the more recent picture of myself. The other one was about 8 years old. Since I've seen the age of 50 come and go. So it was only fair that I post a new one.

Great news! I'm in the process of designing new covers for my books. (on display at My Book Store) The covers will be designed by an artist. It'll be a long consultation as we choose what would be best to catch the eye. But I will be posting the results. My Book Store also has story synopses and some sample reading. Buying is made easy by links with my Publisher.

The designing of the ABC Reading Program is slow going. But I've tested it out on my grandson, and he loves spending time with the letters. They are big and bold. He can't talk yet, and I've started early, making it FUN all the way.

Since life changes so quickly, there will be a few things I'll be doing differently. I no longer homeschool, because all the kids are grown and married. And yes, I'm a grandma. But my official title is: Oma (German for grandmother). Folks! Life is all about being a grandma. I LOVE IT!!!

On a more serious note, I have some strong feelings on issues, so strong that they are not open to debate so I don't voice them in volatile situtions. Though I'll post them here and consider feedback, I will not debate them.

One such subject is pedophiles. After years of molesting a child, the bastard gets away with it after the statute of limitations runs out. Nothing will be done to punish him because the child is so tramatized that it's well beyond 10 years before the horror resurfaces. In the meantime, what other child is so terrorized that she can't speak out? What other child has lost his childhood and the enjoyment of innocence?
